Nancy Henderson

I come from an “artistic” family - not famous artists, but experts in all sorts of crafts and design, so many artistic journeys started at birth. My artist journey probably started in high school with a gifted art teacher in my one of my few elective classes. After a few college art classes in various media, I only sewed and did a bit of fabric art until I retired, when I was determined to learn watercolor. One medium led to another as I explored pen-and-ink, Sumi-e, graphite, pastels, and finally oils and relative ease at frequent changes with this quick-drying medium. I love painting birds, flowers, dogs’ portraits, occasional landscapes or landmarks, whimsical subjects, and lively crafts.
