Marylynne Nicholson
I am a native Californian who grew up here in the Bay Area. I have a B.A. degree in Art from California State University, Hayward, and have studied with many local artists. I love painting, travel, camping, teaching art classes and spending time with family and friends. My family traveled all over California, particularly the Sierras, taking many trips to Yosemite and Lake Tahoe.
I work in both oil and acrylics, painting from photos I have taken as well as plein air. I love working with grisaille, glazes, and color. Time just seems to disappear when I paint. For me, paintings are moments in time that I can experience again and again as I paint.
Painting, truly, fills my soul.
