Elizabeth Kennen

Elizabeth has been an artist since childhood, always having paper and pencil on hand for sketching. Many years were spent enjoying graphite and colored pencil, making detailed drawings of nature and then discovering a love for architecture.

Elizabeth grew up in a very creative household, filled with art and music. Support and encouragement were there from the start when it came to artistic endeavors.

She began painting in watercolor, staying with that medium for many years, always keeping her love for detail. Now she enjoys working in oils as well and is happy to alternate between the two mediums. Inspiration for compositions come mostly from her travels and from studying our wonderful Northern California landscapes. A peaceful, inviting atmosphere is created, with a deep appreciation of the beautiful and interesting things around us. Hopefully the viewer is interested and may want to visit these places, escaping for a while.

You may see Elizabeth’s artwork in and around Pleasant Hill where she resides. A member of East Bay Artists Guild, her paintings are exhibited in their group shows. Recently her artwork has been shown at the Lindsay Wildlife Museum and the aRt Cottage. Elizabeth Kennen Art
