Joo Chase – Artist | San Francisco Bay Area

Hello, my name is Joo Chase, and I am an artist based in the San Francisco Bay Area. I moved to the United States in 2014, and as a Korean-American immigrant, I draw inspiration from a rich blend of cultures, reflecting the natural beauty of Korea, cherished childhood memories, and the vibrant modernity of America.

I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts from a university in Korea and an MBA. In the United States, I further pursued my passion for painting and drawing with a certificate from Diablo Valley College (DVC).

I worked as a character designer in the game department for five years and then as a project manager for ten years, overseeing projects and developing and promoting web-based marketing applications. This experience strengthened my creative vision, attention to detail, and ability to manage complex projects.

My artistic practice spans portraits, abstract, and nature-inspired paintings, using oil, acrylic, watercolor, and traditional Korean ink. I enjoy exploring various media and continually evolving my techniques, aiming to express new ideas and emotions through each piece.

Each artwork embodies a fusion of experiences, stories, and emotions, reflecting the intersection of my heritage and life in America. My goal is to dedicate my life to painting, continuously refining my craft and creating works that resonate with viewers.
