Joo Chase
This is Joo Chase. I am an artist based in the San Francisco Bay Area. I was born in Korea. I have been inspired by people’s faces since I was a child. My paintings are mainly portraits. I am working on a series of works that put Korean images into my portraits with my imagination. I sometimes work on abstract paintings, but they contain nature. All of my works capture the nature of Korea and my childhood there mixed with modern America.
I mainly use oil paints, acrylic paints, and watercolors. I try to study and use all art materials. My dream is to paint while studying painting for the rest of my life.
